­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­ ­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­James "Wiley" Jones was born October 29, 1935, and departed this life Monday, May 13, 2024, reaching the age of 88 years. He was the Son of the late Ora C. and Dina (Corder) Jones.
He is survived by; 1 son, James Lynn (Judy) Jones; 1 brother, Willard Jones; 2 sisters, Josephine Cooper and Edna Frost; 4 grandchildren, Tabitha Dishman, Blane Jones, Elaine Hersley, and Brandon Jones; 8 great grandchildren, Austin Coffey, Arieana Dishman, Kimberly Jeka, Amber Jones, Helena Hersley, Courtney Hersley, Braxton Jones and Madelyn Jones; 2 great-great grandchildren Marley Jeka and Kensley Slavey. Along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Doris Ann Jones; 1 son, Ralph Wayne Jones; 1 daughter, Mary Ann Ferrell and 2 sisters, Lorene Davis and Fayrene Meadors.
Wiley was a faithful member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church.
He was a loving father, grandfather, relative and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 16, 2024, from 5 PM – 8 PM in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 17, 2024, at 1 PM at the Hickey Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
