James Jones Obituary
Services for Mr. James Larry Jones will be held Thursday, April 24, 2025, 12:00 p.m., at Webb & Stephens Funeral Home-Downtown with Bro. Bruce Taylor officiating. Interment will follow at New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery. Webb & Stephens Funeral Homes are honored to be entrusted with arrangements.
Mr. Jones, 77, of Meridian, passed away Easter Sunday, April 20, 2025, at Ochsner Rush Health.
In his youth, he enjoyed roller skating and bowling. He was a dedicated employee at Sara Lee Bakery for 44 years, from which he retired. He enjoyed taking road trips, going out to eat, and spending time with family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews; In-Laws; and special friend, Michael Brown.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 35 years, Gloria Oxner Jones; and parents, J.B. and Josie Mae Johnson Jones.
Visitation will take place an hour prior to service at the funeral home.
