James J. Kaiser, Jr. of Plymouth passed away peacefully at Tobey Hospital in Wareham on October 25, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was seventy-seven years old.
Born in Plymouth on May 23, 1948, James was the son of the late James and Anna (Furtado) Kaiser, Sr. He grew up in North Plymouth and attended Plymouth Schools. For many years, James worked for the Town of Plymouth as a security guard at Long Beach during the evening shift, and later as a Transportation Lieutenant for the Plymouth County Sheriff's Department until his retirement. After retiring, he continued to serve his community as a bus driver for the Town of Kingston Senior Center-a role he truly enjoyed and took great pride in.
James had a natural curiosity and a knack for finding hidden gems at flea markets and yard sales. He loved hunting and could often be found tinkering in his basement workshop, crafting birdhouses, and other creative projects. His hands were always busy, and his heart was always open.
James was the beloved husband of Sharon (Wood) Kaiser of Plymouth, and the loving father of Kim Rondeau of Bourne, and Kevin Kaiser and his wife Kimberly of Plymouth. He was the cherished grandfather of Tyler and Hailey Rondeau of Bourne, Colby Kaiser and his wife Julie, Nicholas Kaiser and his wife Luzavia, and James Kaiser III, all of Plymouth. He was the brother of Barbara Gordon and her late husband, Donald of Florida, Gene Kaiser and his partner Debra Byrne of Plymouth, Richard Kaiser and his wife Diane of Plymouth, and the late Daniel Kaiser. He is also survived by his sister-in-law Judy Kaiser of Plymouth and many loving nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate James's life on Friday, October 31, 2025, during visiting hours from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Cartmell-Davis Life Celebration Funeral Home, 619 State Road, Plymouth (Manomet).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in James's memory to Boston Children's Hospital, Attention: Gift Services, 401 Park Drive, Suite 602, Boston, MA 02215, or online at https://secure.childrenshospital.org/site/Donation.
