We went as a class field trip to see the computer at UofR. Kindergarten or 1st grade from OLOL Brighton NY. That would make it 1954 or 1955. We got to move a switch which would start a count, then as quickly as possible move the switch to stop the count and see who moved the switches the fastest and thus had the lowest count.
The thing was a whole room!! Possibly my favorite childhood memory. Thanks Jim for that memory.

Eddie and I are so sad to hear of Jim's passing. Jim brought a lot of laughs to our CLVII family and coordinated the best chicken barbecue for our residents to enjoy! Food, water balloon games, dancing in the streets. He is missed.

Thank you so much, Diane, for bringing Jim into our family over 2o years ago. He was such a great guy. His love for you was so heartwarming. He treated us like we were family. He taught us how to camp and shared so many adventures with us. His service in the US Navy inspired all. He greeted any veteran he met with appreciation and dignity. His compassion, humor and affection will be sorely missed. His memory will live on through us.
