Obituary
James L. Koger, 70, of Camden passed away at home on October 5, 2023. Born in Newark, New Jersey, Jim was the son of the late Patricia (Taber) and James Edward Koger.
Jim was a 1971 graduate of Madison High School in Old Bridge, N.J. He was a pressman for Home News in New Brunswick, N.J. for about 20 years. Afterwards, he was a washer and dryer salesman for Sears in Woodbridge, N.J. for about 15 years.
Jim enjoyed woodworking and making stained glass. There would traditionally be an entire room of his home filled with Christmas villages, and he enjoyed scaring the children at Halloween. Many would consider him a special funny guy. Jim was a family guy through and through and loved spending his time surrounded by the ones he loved.
Jim is survived by his wife of 46 years, Diane (Cap) Koger; three children: Chris Koger and his wife Kristi of W. Deptford, New Jersey, Jamie Koger and her wife Nechol of Middletown and Melissa Koger-Matos and her husband Henry of Middletown; one brother Robert "Scooter" Koger of Lawrence Harbor, N.J.; and four grandchildren: Thomas "T.J." Koger, Jacob Koger, Kairi Solt and Alice Matos.
A funeral service will be 3:00 P.M. Sunday, October 15, 2023 at the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden Wyoming Avenue, Wyoming, DE 19934 where there will be a viewing from 1:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. Sunday. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Camden Wyoming Fire Company, 200 E. Camden Wyoming Avenue, Camden, DE 19934 or to the Brandywine Valley S.P.C.A., 1757 Horse Pond Road, Dover, DE 19901. Online condolences may be made via www.pippinfuneralhome.com.
