James W. Lambert of Uniontown, Ohio, passed away peacefully at his home on October 5th, 2024, at the age of 79. Born in Fairfield, California, he grew up in Warsaw, Indiana, moving to Ohio after proudly serving in the Vietnam War.
A machinist for over 25 years at Hunt Machine and Manufacturing, Jim was a hardworking man who loved and treasured his family. He married the love of his life, June (Fisher), on January 11, 1969, celebrating 55 years of marriage this year. As a devoted father to his children, Chad and Tina (Rayman), Jim will be remembered as a loving father who showered them with love, guidance, and wisdom. He was fiercely proud of his six grandchildren, and his happiest times were spent when all the kids and grandkids gathered at his home for many holidays and cookouts over the open fire. A lifelong friend to many, Jim never met a stranger. He found joy in all things outdoors, from mowing his lawn for hours to sourcing and cutting trees that eventually made their way to the fireplaces of family and friends and even the flooring of his own home.
Jim was preceded in death by his Grandma Cassell, parents George and Dorothy Lambert, and brother Lee Lambert. He leaves behind his devoted wife, June; loving children Chad (Michelle) and Tina; son-in-law Scott; cherished grandchildren Madison, Erik, Emily, Austin, Amber, and Luke; niece Christine (Jimmy) Fleming and their children Cailin and Nick; niece Kim (Jeff) and their children Zach and Nick; his Yorkie, Mia; brother John, family in Indiana, and numerous friends.
