In Loving Memory of Mr. Jimmy
A True Member of the Sneaux Krewe
From the very first year we opened our stand, Mr. Jimmy was there-one of our most loyal and cherished customers. We knew his order by heart, and the moment we saw that familiar white pickup truck pull up, we´d get started without a word.
Mr. Jimmy wasn´t just a regular-he was family. Always kind, always patient, and always quick with a warm smile or a gentle word. I´ll never forget the day he told me he´d been sick. The very first stop he made after leaving the hospital was to come see us. I teased him that day and told him I was going to put him on a sugar-free only plan from now on. He laughed like he always did-easy and genuine.
When I went to look up his number recently to check on him, I noticed something that stopped me in my tracks. His last visit to us was July 20th-the day before he passed. It was as if he wanted one last taste of joy, one last snowball, before he said goodbye.
Mr. Jimmy, may you rest in sweet peace. We hope you are enjoying all the strawberry, orange, and grape snowballs your heart desires-no sugar limits. You´ll forever be our favorite Sneaux Krewe member. We´ll miss you dearly, but your memory will always be with us.
With love,
The NOLA Sneauxballs Family

At the hospital that night I came to see you I hope it was a nice surprise. If I knew that was our last conversation it should have been more like this ......Lank when you planted yourself in my heart you became my first love and even though it was so long ago you still show up in my dreams more than anyone and my question was always the same. Why so many times even after all these years? I realize just now my answer is that you have always been my first love and you will always be my longest love. I wish I would have told you then that I love you still and I never wanted you to go. Forever my love may you Rest in Peace.
