James Harlan LeCocq

July 18, 1946 - August 5, 2025

James Harlan LeCocq, age 79, of Waseca, MN, passed away on August 5, 2025.

Born on July 18, 1946, to Harlan and Anine (Svendsen) LeCocq, in Cedar Falls, IA, Jim grew up in Waterloo, IA, where his parents operated an accounting business. Jim enlisted in the Navy in 1964. He married Amy (Kuennen) in 1975. He later relocated to Waseca, MN and earned his BSEE and became a software engineer; retiring from EF Johnson in 2017.

He is survived by his wife, Amy LeCocq; daughters, Sarah (Steve) Ketter and Beth (Grady) Glynn; and grandchildren, Sophie Ketter, Shay Ketter, Charlotte Glynn, and Griffin Glynn, and special friends, Connie and Dallas Janssen. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial service for Jim will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 15, 2025, at Dennis-Steffel-Omvtedt Funeral and Cremation Service in Waseca, MN; with a visitation one hour prior to the service.
