James Lyons Obituary
James "Jim" William Lyons, Jr. passed away on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, in Covington, Louisiana, at the age of 78. He was born on Tuesday, April 15, 1947 in Newport News, Virginia to the late Mildred Apple Lyons and the late James William Lyons, Sr. He was a resident of Springfield, Louisiana.
Jim is survived by his wife of 40 years, Linda Juhasz Lyons; children, Lisa Fernandez(Brian), Rick Searls, and Cindy Henderlick(Guy); step-children, Russell Loper(Denise), Craig Loper(Julie), Lisa Loper, Angie Loper, and Traci Loper; grandchildren, Camerick, Amanda, Samantha, Kourtni, Matthew, Kristin, and Cade; great-grandchildren, Kolton, Kloe, Clancy, and Lake; sister, Leona; and numerous cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, James William Lyons, Sr.; mother, Mildred Apple Lyons; and uncle, Cornelius Apple.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Albany Hungarian Presbyterian Church, 30795 Hungarian Presbyterian Church Road, Albany, Louisiana 70403, on Monday, July 28, 2025, beginning at 11:00 AM until the funeral service begins at 1:00 PM.
Interment will follow in Albany Hungarian Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Albany, Louisiana.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the church in Jim's name.
