James Albert Mansfield, 56, of Beachwood, went home to be with Jesus on September 2, 2024. As he enters a fuller and more joyful existence, he will be remembered and loved here on earth by his loving wife Dawn, his daughters Nikole Sariotis and her husband Greg and Candace Guest and her husband David and his son Hunter James Mansfield. Also surviving are seven grandchildren Norah, George, Noelle, Grayson, Nikolas, Micah and Layla in addition to many extended family members and friends. He had been predeceased by his parents Albert and Marguerite Mansfield.
James was a welding instructor at Ocean County Vocational & Technical School with over 24 years of dedication to his students, who loved and admired him. Mr. Mansfield proudly served his country in the US Marine Corp. He was the funniest and most loving and caring husband, father and grandfather. James served others without expectation of a reward. He loved people and he loved Jesus!
A Memorial Gathering for family and friends will be held on Monday, Sept. 9th from 4pm to 7pm, with a Prayer Service offered at 6pm and Military Honors to conclude, in the Mastapeter Memorial Home, 270 Atlantic City Blvd., Bayville.

Mr.Mansfield was an amazing human being and teacher! Mr. Mansfield taught both of my sons Nick and Vincent Hurley in the high school Vocational Welding program. Mr. Mansfield was not only a teacher but a mentor and a friend to them! Mr Mansfield would call me to let me know if assignments where late or with anything he thought that I needed to know and was hard on them at times, but that is what they needed! I couldn“t have asked for a better teacher for both of my sons and will forever be grateful for him!

I knew the entire family since the early 60's when his Father was chasing me around the neighborhood. But many years later, Jimmy worked for me in my Welding Shop (Steve's Welding Service) in Wanamassa for a couple of years. This is where got the interest to be a Welder and Educator. I spoke with Jimmy about 2 years ago on the phone and it was a pleasure to know that he had achieved his dreams in life.
Please accept my condolences for your loss and May he rest in peace.

I thought a had a different picture but found this one of Jimmy. He must be about 10 years old here in my parents kitchen on the corner of Fairmont and Logan in Wanamassa.

I hope this picture of Jimmy as a young boy makes you smile.

I was Jimmy's neighbor and friend in Wanamassa . We did a lot of fishing, playing "in the woods" and just plain making up things to do as we kids did back then.

I am so sorry for this tragic loss. I wish I had met your family and had a chance to laugh with Jimmy more through the years.

God bless Jimmy and your family.

Prayers are streaming your way from Finland.
