James Manuel Obituary
James David Manuel was born in Mamou, Louisiana on June 22, 1964, to Dr. Berkman James Manuel and Anna Belle Vizinat Manuel. James was a talented musician who played the guitar and accordion. He loved singing and songwriting. James enjoyed spending time outdoors and duck hunting. His favorite past times were playing music, duck hunting, and cooking his wildlife. He was a kind and loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. His family was his greatest pride and joy. James's family and friends will miss him dearly.
James is survived by his loving wife of 11 years, Annette Thibodeaux Manuel; son, Jerry M. Dupre of Mamou; stepchildren, Krissa Goutro and husband, Tim, and Adrian Beaubouef; six step-grandchildren, Gavin O'Connor and wife, Courtney, Madeline O'Connor Vidrine and husband, Tyler, Tim Goutro, Jr. and fiance', Haylee, Alaina Goutro, Autymn Beaubouef, and Drake Beaubouef; three step-great grandchildren, Brinley O'Connor, Greyson Goutro, and Hudson Goutro.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Dr. Berkman James and Anna Belle Vizinat Manuel; and sister, Jerylyn Manuel.
The family request that visitation be held at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Mamou on Friday, October 1, 2021, from 1:00 PM until 9:00 PM. Visitation will resume on Saturday, October 2, 2021, from 8:00 AM until time of service.
Family and friends may leave condolences for the family at www.ardoinfuneralhomes.com.
