JAMES A. "JIMBOB" MASTALSKI
James A. "Jimbob" Mastalski, 61, Centralia, MO passed away Thursday, September 14, 2023, at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, KS. He was born June 12, 1962, the son of the late Henry and Mary (Klees) Mastalski. On June 27, 2014, he was united in marriage to Shelia (Kable) Mastalski.
In addition to his wife Shelia of 9 years, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by two daughters Nycke Mattingly and her husband Mikey of Ashland, MO and Lindsey Mahr and her husband Michael of Jacksonville, MO; three step sons Christopher Wright and his wife Kayla of Columbia, MO, Cody Wright and his wife Ciara of New Bloomfield, MO and Shelby Hemphill and his wife Karra of Mexico, MO; two brothers Chuck Mastalski and his wife Goldie of Columbia, MO and Kevin Mastalski and his wife Donna of Liberty, MO; two sisters Cathy Peters and her husband Dan of Independence, OH and Tina Balsamo and her husband Steve of Fleming, Island, FL; nineteen grandchildren, Autumn, Ashlynn, Aleena, Aliyah, Annalee, Hattie, Theo, Willa, Alaina, Owen, Haven, Jonathan, Saleena, Cody Izak, Gaige, Brooklynn, Emma, and Bradley; a sister in law Georgie Mastalski of Cleveland, OH; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to parents, he was preceded in death by one brother Michael.
Jimbob loved working and always had to be busy. He worked in galvanizing at Hubbel Power Systems in Centralia, MO, as a cashier at DC's Convenience Store in Centralia, MO and at Wal-Mart and McDonalds. He was a volunteer fireman for the Centralia Fire Department and enjoyed photography, motorcycles, taking hikes, music, concerts, and bonfires. Jimbob loved spending time with his friends and family, especially his grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm Sunday, September 24, 2023, at the Oliver Funeral Home in Centralia, MO. Memorial contributions may be made to the James Mastalski Memorial Fund, c/o Oliver Funeral Home, P.O. Box 125, Centralia, MO 65240.
