I have so many thoughts and feelings
That I can´t put into words
I´m so grateful that I got to be around him for 25 years ( Pleasant Lake) Cadillac
His little twinkle in his eye when he´s
telling a joke. I was always Caren´s full of
beans and I don´t care or Happy Birthday to me when it was my birthday. Joke after joke. I don´t know how he remembered them all. But always kind and loving
My heart has another hole in it
Love you so much Dad

I will miss you Grandpa. I miss you calling me Suzy Q and singing Sweet Violets. I loved you joking about not eating the hole of a windmill cookie! You were sweet, loving and so full of fun and humor.

I´m speechless. For the first time ever, I´m heartbroken and can´t talk to Dad about it. Our beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, husband, brother, uncle, colleague, retired Air Force service member, has died, leaving everyone who loved him with a permanent loss. Dad was so much to so many. His quiet presence was a constant and wonderful/reliable force. Dad was humble to a fault. Kind, generous, and never one to gossip or criticize anyone he embodied what it meant to be a person of character. He was a calm, genuine, and witty person whose off-color jokes would light up a room. Ironically, he didn´t attend funerals/memorials. Dad was mysterious in some ways. I love you Dad and will miss you forever. May you be at peace.

Sure am going to miss you so much grandpa. I have so many great memories with you. You always took me fishing and loved waking up to you yodeling and making breakfast. I miss your jokes you had so many. My favorite was your partly sunny glasses. I love you and miss you dearly
Love little jamie (mattison)
