Jimmy was born in Woodland, California to Rene and Jim McAnelly, Jr. He attended Beamer Elementary School until he moved to Alaska in 1983 with his mom, Rene and his dad, Steve Manning. He attended Romig and Mears Middle Schools and Dimond High School. After graduating High School in Anchorage, Jimmy worked various jobs that led him to begin his career in the Oil Industry for over 25 years up on the North Slope, where he took pride in his job as a Coiled Tubing Supervisor/Company Man with Fairweather LLC for Conoco Phillips. This was one of his Proudest Achievements. Jimmy, also known as "Jimmy Mac" to some, earned the title "King of Oil Field Practical Jokes" and the "Legendary Prankster". He was outstanding in that capacity according to his co-workers, In 2013, he moved to Waianae, Hawaii where he enjoyed the island lifestyle of warm weather, going to the beach, fishing, hiking, and hanging out with his FamBam. In 2021, Jimmy moved back to Anchorage where he resided until his passing. Fishing was his all-time passion! He always found a way to bring his family and friends together to fish whether it be in Homer, throughout Alaska, or Hawaii.Jimmy is survived by his wife, Suzette McAnelly, his three sons, Josh Telles, Aaron Sullivan and Patrick Sullivan; his two grandsons, Nakoa Sullivan and Keaka Kukahiko-Sullivan; mom, Rene Manning; dad, Steve Manning; sisters, Tiffani (Carey) Olsen and Megan Manning as well as his godchildren, many uncles, aunties, nephews, nieces, cousins on the Mainland and in Hawaii.Forever Loved.
