Funeral services for James "Jim" Cole McCoy of Archie, Missouri will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, August 26, 2025 at the Schowengerdt Funeral Chapel (660-679-6555) in Butler, Missouri. Visitation will be 5 - 7 p.m. Monday, August 25 at the Schowengerdt Chapel. Interment with Military Honors in Virginia Cemetery, Virginia, Missouri. Contributions to Wounded Warriors. James "Jim" Cole McCoy died on Friday, August 22, 2025 at St. Luke's East Hospital in Lee's Summit, Missouri. He was born July 23, 1942 to Harry Thomas and Edna Mae Franklin McCoy in LaCygne, Kansas.

Jim is survived by his wife, Norma McCoy of Archie, Missouri; four children, Michael James McCoy of Archie, Missouri, Donna Kay McCoy of Raymore, Missouri, Dixie Diane Williams and husband Toby Scott of Archie, Missouri and Thomas Gavin McCoy and wife Jillian Marie of Ottawa, Kansas; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Harry McCoy; and a granddaughter, Missy McCoy-Moretine.
