James Ray McCraney, Sr., age 78, passed away June 20, 2024. He was a family man, devoted to his wife, children, and grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his daughter, Bobbie Nell McCraney Nolan; parents, Pearl Stanley McCraney and Ray McCraney; sister, Edith Pearl Sumrall; stepmother, Lois McCraney; great grandbaby Reynaud.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of almost 60 years, Bobbie Jean McCraney; children, Linda and Steve Hartfield, "Mann" James and Tammy McCraney, "Billy" Willie and Tina McCraney, "Jeanne" Phyllis and Brian Havard, Rachel and Tony Havard; grandchildren, Austin (Brittney) McCraney, Ethan (Ashley) Hartfield, Shelton Havard, Shelby (Dylan) Fillingim, Amber (Reese) Reynaud, Sydney (Garrett) Whatley, Tyler Hartfield, Kody McCraney, and Maddi Havard; great grandchildren, Emma McCraney, Doc McCraney, Thea Hartfield, Silas Hartfield, and Baby Fillingim; sisters, Phyllis Carlisle, and Margaret Lott; numerous other relatives and friends.
The Visitation will be Tuesday, June 25, 2024 from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM at Moments Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will begin at 12:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Dale Dean officiating. Burial will follow in Magnolia Cemetery with pallbearers being Austin McCraney, Ethan Hartfield, Shelton Havard, Tyler Hartfield, Kody McCraney, and Veno Solis. Honorary pallbearers include Tony Havard, Brian Havard, and Dylan Fillingim.
