CROMARTIE-MILLER & LEE FUNERALS AND CREMATIONS OBITUARY Dunn, NC Mr. James Vernon McLamb, age 64 of Bryan McLamb Lane, Dunn died Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at his home. Mr. McLamb was born October 11, 1947 in Harnett County the son of the late Vernon Monroe McLamb. James was devoted to his whole family, friends and his church always putting others first and taking care of their needs. Mr. McLamb was the owner and operator of Benson Building Supply and a Charter Member of Prayer Baptist Church in Dunn. He was very active in the Dunn Community most of his life in various businesses and organizations. He was a Board Member of the Dunn Rescue Squad and enjoyed playing golf. A Funeral service will be held Friday, May 25, 2012, at 11:00 A.M. Cromartie-Miller & Lee Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Douglas Thompson & Rev. Glen McCullen officiating. Burial will follow in Devotional Gardens. Surviving include: His Wife: Patricia B. McLamb of the home. A Daughter: Tammie McLamb of Dunn, NC 2 Sons: Christopher K. McLamb & (wife) Anita of Dunn, NC James Bryan McLamb & (wife) Donna of Dunn, NC 4 Grandchildren: James Brandon McLamb, Cassie Taylor McLamb, KrisAnna Lee McLamb & Anslee Chris McLamb. Mother: Murdell Tart McLamb of Dunn, NC 2 Brothers: Bo McLamb & (wife) Sylvia of Dunn, NC Gale McLamb & (wife) Linda of Dunn, NC Sister: Susan M. Stewart & (husband) Davy of Coats, NC The family will receive friends Thursday, May 24, 2012 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Cromartie- Miller & Lee Funeral Home in Dunn.
