James Michael McMath, known affectionately to friends and family as Mike, passed away on March 1, 2025, at his birthplace in Indianapolis, Indiana. Born on November 1, 1954, Mike's presence was a testament to a life characterized by warmth and generosity. Having graduated from Southport High School, Mike went on to touch the lives of countless individuals with his innate kindness and benevolence.
Mike was preceded in death by his devoted parents, Wanda and James McMath, and his brother Thomas. He is fondly remembered and will be deeply missed by his sisters, Cynthia and Sherry.
An avid supporter of both the Pacers and the Indianapolis Colts, Mike's enthusiasm for sports was matched only by his love for vintage cars and car races. Whether playing bingo or cherishing moments with his family, Mike's loving and kind nature was always present. His light continues to shine in the hearts of those who knew him, leaving a legacy of cherished memories and unwavering affection.
Service will be 1:00pm, Wednesday, March 12th at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, Greenwood Chapel 481 W. Main St. Greenwood with visitation from 12:30pm to service time. He will be laid to rest in Greenwood Cemetery.
