James E. Moore 84, of Manhattan was born in Chicago to the late William and Caroline (nee Johnston) Moore and passed away March 1, 2025. Loving father of Bridget Johnson, Stephanie Moore, and Jimmy Moore; proud papa of Jacob McNulty, Colin Moore, Allison Moore, Ashley Moore, Audra Moore, and Avery Moore; special friend and companion of Kathy Wilson. James was an Army Vietnam veteran proudly serving our country. He was also an avid fisherman, that loved fishing Wood Haven Lake, while sipping his beer. A visitation will be held at Kurtz Memorial Chapel 102 E. Francis Rd New Lenox, IL on Wednesday March 5th, 2025 from 3-8pm. Chapel service at the funeral home the following morning at 10am. Interment to follow with full military honors at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery Elwood, IL. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in James name to helping military veterans and their families that may be struggling with PTSD, see link below.
