Mr. Morgan was born on June 21, 1944, in Senoia, to the late Edith Harper Morgann and the late Doc Morgan. He owned and operated Fayette Stripping Company, worked for Eastern Airlines for 22 years and eventually retired from the Coweta County Sheriff's Department as a maintenance supervisor after 15 years of service. He enjoyed outdoor activities, especially golf and fishing. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Glen Morgan and Regis Morgan; and longtime partner, Peggy Adams.
Survivors include his son, Jim Morgan (Shawn); grandchildren, Chris Wade (Rebecca), Jessica Frost (Ryan) and Cory Wade (Kaci); great grandchildren, Sammie, Addy, Hallie, Avilyn, Wyatt, Elijah, and Embry; nieces and nephews, Lisa, Becky, Ted, and David; and sisters-in-law, Connie Morgan and Carol Morgan.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
