James Anthony "Tony" Morris, age 57 of Dunlap TN passed away on Wednesday, June 4, 2025 at his home surrounded by his loved ones. Tony's family was his world and he loved them with all of his heart. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren, telling them stories to see their eyes light up as they would imagine in their heads the stories he was telling them.
Tony was an over the road truck driver for most of his adult life. This is what he enjoyed the most. He was a mechanic that could fix anything from a small engine to an excavator. He was also a great at painting cars and had many artistic talents.
Tony accepted Christ late in life but was so proud to tell people how great his Savior is and how it changed his life.
Tony was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Eric Miller
He is survived by his loving wife, Kelly Cannon Morris; children, Angela (Harold) McGee of Cleveland, Ashley (Jimmy) Pierce of Dunlap, James Morris of Dunlap, Nikki (Travis) Sneed of Dunlap, Austin (Bonnie) Sneed of Cleveland and Cindy (Jeremiah) Pritchett of Dayton; father and stepmother, Gerald (Manda) Morris; bonus mom, Lois Cannon; grandchildren, Evan, David, Gabriel, Taylor, Melody, Lilly, Oliver,Zayne and Abigail; great granddaughter, Madelyn; sisters, Stacy Miller of Dunlap and Jessica Hood of Country Club Hills, Illinois.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, June 7, 2025 at 1:00 PM in the chapel of Ewton Funeral Home & Cremation Center with burial to follow in Sequatchie County Memorial Gardens. Bro. Rod Morris and Uncle Kit will be officiating. Family will receive friends Saturday from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM.
