James “Jim” Mulleady peacefully passed away at his home in St. Germain. He was 86 years old.
Jim grew up in Minneapolis. He attended the University of Minnesota. He married the love of his life Maxine, and they were married for 68 years. They had 3 children, Michael (Stephanie) Mulleady of Minocqua, Lynn (Kelly) Bax of Phoenix, AZ and Jim (Mary) Mulleady of Eagle River. They have 4 grandchildren, Bryan (Kelly) Mulleady of Watertown, MN, Abbey (Josh) Hess of Phoenix, AZ, Erin (Ryan) Hallberg of Green Bay, WI and Andrew Mulleady of Eagle River. The have 4 great grandchildren, Killian, Declan, Cullen Mulleady and Oliver Hallberg. He is survived by sisters Sharon (Wesley) Peacock of Mesa, AZ, Thomas (Michelle) Mulleady of Rio Verde, AZ, Susan (Dr. Peter) Menghini of Scottsdale, AZ and Mark (Linda) Mulleady of Grand Junction, CO.
Jim and Max moved to Wisconsin in 1971. They purchased Idle Hours Resort in St. Germain. Throughout his life, Jim was in sales. He started selling appliances in Minnesota and was working for Bombardier Moto-Ski in the early 1970’s. He started selling real estate in 1976. In the early 1980’s when interest rates topped 18%, he launched his own real estate company. He formed Coldwell Banker Mulleady REALTORS in 1983 and the business grew. Eventually the company grew to 5 offices.
Jim loved golf, traveling, boating, snowmobiling, sports and people. He was a member of the Minocqua Country Club, Lakeland Rotary, Lions, St. Germain Bo-Boen Snowmobile Club. He was also past President of the Greater Northwoods MLS and member of the Wisconsin Realtors Association. Jim had a laugh that could light up a room!
Memorial Gathering for Jim will be held on Saturday, December 14th at Shepherd of Lakes Lutheran Church in Sayner, WI from 10:00 am to 11:00 am with Memorial Service at 11:00 am.
