James Elliott Patterson

In Loving Memory James Elliott Patterson April 7, 1963 - September 10, 2025 James Elliott Patterson, 62, passed away on September 10, 2025, at Flagler Hospital in St. Augustine, Florida. Born on April 7, 1963, in Anchorage, Alaska, James was the son of William and Antonie Patterson. He grew up in Anchorage, AK and Rockland, MA, and attended Rockland High School. Following his education, James began a career in welding that took him across the country. Much of his work was contracted for the military, with his final position at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard. Known for his easy going nature and warm personality, James made friends everywhere he went. Over the years, he lived in many states-including Alaska, Massachusetts, Florida, Alabama, Washington, New Jersey, and Virginia-collecting experiences and friendships along the way. He also had a lifelong passion for working on classic cars. James was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Patterson, and his nephew, Jeffery Patterson. He is survived by his daughter, Casey Patterson; his siblings, Marianne Patterson Reamer and her husband, Michael; sister-in-law Jan Patterson; June Patterson; and William Patterson; as well as his nieces and nephews, Christina Patterson, Robert Patterson, Andrew Bocanegra, Jessica Reamer, John Reamer, Mackenzie Reamer, and CJ Reamer. A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 3, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Mount Pleasant Cemetery on Liberty Street in Rockland, Massachusetts. A celebration of life lunch will follow. James will be remembered for his kind heart, his love for family and friends, and the many lives he touched during his journey.
