James (Jim) Peck passed away peacefully on August 21, 2024, at the age of 81. Jim was born March 28, 1943, in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania to Howard and Laura Peck as the youngest of nine children. He proudly served in the U.S. Air Force and was stationed in Turkey for a period of time. A New Mexico resident since 1978, Jim lived in Roswell, Taos, and primarily in Albuquerque.
Jim retired from Sysco in 2008 where he enjoyed supplying many New Mexico restaurants with their signature ingredients. Jim loved spending time hunting, fishing and exploring the outdoors. He was a member of several RV travel clubs, making memories with new friends along the way.
Jim is survived by his daughter, Stephanie Peck, stepson Duane Dahse, stepdaughter Julie Hess, four grandsons, William, Ethan, Dillon and Connor, and three great grandchildren. Jim is preceded in death by his parents, eight siblings and his wife of 32 years, JoAnn (Jodie) Peck.
A memorial service will be planned and announced at a later date. In honor of Jim’s memory, his family asks that you consider making a donation to the Wounded Warrior Project (woundedwarriorproject.org).
