James W. "Thumper" Pittman, aged 37, of Greenville, SC, passed away on May 29, 2024, in Anderson, SC. Born on April 18, 1987, to the late Janis D. Pittman and Wayne Pittman, James was a beacon of joy and kindness to all who knew him. He was a beloved brother, uncle, grandson, and friend, and his warm spirit will be forever cherished.

Thumper, as he was affectionately known by his friends and family, grew up in Greenville, where he attended local schools and established lifelong friendships. His grandmother, Betty Davis, was a significant influence in his life, instilling in him the values of kindness and compassion that he carried with him always. Thumper was a loving brother to his sister, Kim Dismuke, and his brother, Keith Epps. He adored his nephews, Cory Dismuke, Keith D. Epps, Jr., and Jeremyah Epps, and nieces, Taylor Dismuke, Alexis Dismuke, Danielle Duncan, and Kaytlyn Epps. 

James had a passion for wrestling. Thumper found solace in poetry, where he expressed his innermost thoughts and feelings. 

Those who knew James would describe him as the life of the party. His humor was infectious, and his ability to make others laugh was unmatched. .

As we remember James, we celebrate a life lived with purpose and joy. He was a kind soul who saw the good in others and strived to bring happiness wherever he went. James's legacy is one of love, laughter, and friendship. It is a legacy that will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him.

As the sun sets on James's earthly journey, we take solace in knowing that his spirit will continue to inspire us to live fully, love deeply, and laugh often. Thumper's memory will be a guiding light, reminding us of the power of kindness and the importance of cherishing each moment. Rest in peace, dear James. Your memory will be eternally treasured.
