James Kenneth Plummer

James Kenneth Plummer, 39, husband of Stephanie Shafer Plummer, died Saturday September 27, 2025, in Cocoa Beach, Florida. Born on February 21, 1986, he was the son of Paula Harris Plummer and the late James K. Plummer. James grew up in Cynthiana, Kentucky where he graduated high school before moving to Richmond, KY to attend EKU. James graduated from EKU in 2008 with a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Earth Science Teaching and was an active member of the Sigma Nu Fraternity, where he formed lasting friendships and memories that remained with him throughout life. After a few years of teaching high school Chemistry, James went on to enter the IT profession, working for LibSynergy, then moving on to Toyota where he was an IT Engineer. James was also a former founder and part owner of Maiden City Brewing Co. in Cynthiana, Kentucky.
Additional survivors include his two children, Olivia (9) and Andrew (4), one brother, Benjamin (Jessica) Plummer and two nieces, Josie and Kelsey Plummer.
May his memory bring comfort to those who loved him. A memorial visitation will take place on Wednesday October 15, 2025, from 5-8pm at Kerr Brothers-Harrodsburg Rd.
