Kimberly Hamilton

Kimberly Hamilton passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of Wednesday, October 8, 2025. She was a devoted mother, sister, cousin, and friend whose kindness, strength, and warmth touched everyone who knew her.
Born in London, Kentucky, to Lucy Marie and Ernest Ray House, Kimberly was a proud graduate of Eastern Kentucky University, where she first earned a degree in criminal justice and later a master's in communication disorders. It was at EKU that she met her life partner, Gary Hamilton. Together they built a beautiful life in Lexington, Kentucky, where they raised two daughters, two dogs, and one cat.
Kimberly was an avid gardener, reader, learner, and nurturer-and, of course, a dancing queen. She will be remembered for her generous heart, quick wit, and unwavering love for her family. As a dedicated speech pathologist, she found great purpose in helping others communicate and connect. She had a rare gift for making people feel seen and cared for, and her spirit will continue to live on in the many lives she brightened.
She is survived by her loving children, Abigail and Olivia Hamilton; her brothers, Donnie (Mark King) and Billy House (Alice); and many cherished family members and friends who will hold her memory close forever.
A celebration of Kimberly's life will be held at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home on Main St. Visitation will be on Sunday, October 12th 6-8pm and funeral Monday, October 13th 10-12pm. Burial will be at 12:30, at Lexington Cemetery, a precession will follow after the funeral. After the burial, please feel free to join us at 113 N Broadway Park for food and drinks and to continue on the celebration of her life.
