Peggy Ann Slone

SLONE, Peggy Ann, 69, wife of Andrew Preston Slone Jr., passed away Monday, October 6, 2025, in Lexington, KY.
Born October 13, 1955, in Campbellsville, KY, to the late Lyndon and Naomi Benningfield, Peggy was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and dear friend and encourager to many.
After graduating from Taylor County High School in Campbellsville, she moved to Lexington to pursue a career as an executive assistant, first at Southern States, then at Kentucky American Water. She retired in 2018 after nearly 40 years of service.
Peggy was a long-time, active member of the Old Paris Road Church of God in Lexington. She served the Lord faithfully for many years, leading the Women's Ministry, visiting the sick, and coordinating numerous events held on the church grounds. She was known to many as the person to consult when searching for advice, a solution to a problem, or the best way to decorate a room.
Peggy is survived by her husband of 44 years, Andy, as well as her children, Brittany Slone and Aaron (Ajjea) Slone Sr.; grandchildren, Preston, Anders, and Everly Slone; grand-dog, Pretzel; brother, Roger (Patti) Benningfield; and countless other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and younger brother, Terry Benningfield.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 9th, from 5-8 PM at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home-Main St. Funeral services will take place at 12 PM on Friday, October 10th, at Old Paris Road Church of God, 1859 Old Paris Rd, Lexington, KY. 40505. Burial will then follow at Evergreen Memory Gardens in Bourbon County.
