James Winston Price

James Winston Price, better known to his friends and family as Jimmy or Duke, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, October 24, 2025. He was 77 years old and lived in Pine Level, Alabama.
Known for his storytelling, good sense of humor, and love of old things, Jimmy spent many of his days touring the countryside in search of old junk and making new friends along the way. He never met a stranger and was often found around a fire or at a table telling tall tales to anyone who cared to listen.
As a talented carpenter, and always a cowboy, Jimmy built a life with his wife, Pauline, and together they raised three boys. Whether he was building houses or hauling old junk around, Jimmy could be found telling stories to old and new friends alike. He had a magical way of making folks laugh and brought a smile to people's faces wherever he went.
Jimmy is survived by his brothers, David and Robert Price (wife Donna), his sister Kathy Elliot (husband Walter) his sons, James Winston Price, Jr. (wife Michelle), Charles Price, and Ennis Price (wife Melissa), and grandchildren, James Winston Price III, Ashley Price, Brittney Price Mills (husband Drew), Daniel Price, Sara Lynn Price, Jakob Price, and Emilie Price, who will cherish his memory always.
A graveside funeral service celebrating Jimmy's life will be held at Dublin Church of Christ (299 Huffman Road, Grady, Alabama, 36036) on Sunday,
November 2, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. All who knew and loved Jimmy are welcome to attend and honor his memory.
Family and friends are invited to share a meal directly following the service at The Barn at Rustic Acres (291 Moore Rd, Ramer, AL 36069).
