PUCKETT, James Edward - Age 93. of Fenton, passed away on Wednesday November 13, 2024. Funeral services will be held 12:00 PM Monday, November 18, 2024 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton. Burial in Cadillac Memorial Gardens East, 38425 Garfield Rd, Clinton Township, MI 48038. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Monday from 9:00 AM until the time of the service.
James Edward Puckett was born on August 18, 1931, in a house, in the township of Warren Michigan.
James graduated from Busch High School in Centerline MI. on June 15th, 1951.
After High School, James served in the Korean War, stationed in Germany, serving the National Defense Service as an engineer.
After supporting our freedom, and a few short business adventures James went to work as a head custodian retiring from Warren Woods Public Schools. James was also a long-life member of the Masons.
James was a very humble man, providing for his family and admired by many. Never requesting assistance from anyone, while always helping others. Always replying “Everything is OK here” when ask, how are you doing. . .
Jim and Lorraine were married March 5th, 1955, purchased a home in Warren Mi. and raised a family with three energetic boys.
James Puckett is survived his wife Lorraine, sons; Robert Puckett and Kathy Stephens, Richard Puckett, and wife Kimberly Puckett, 7 Grandchildren; Tina, Matthew, Renee, Jason, Caylin, Megan, and Shelby, and four great grandchildren; Kyle, Emma, Mason, and Carter.
Jim is preceded in death by his son Raymond Puckett and wife Linda, his mom and Dad, Raymond and Mary, sisters; Judy, Juanita, Peggy, and brother Telphis (Phil) Puckett.
