James Quinn Obituary

Age 63 of Hopkins, passed away unexpectedly and peacefully from cardiac arrest due to undiagnosed heart disease on August 24, 2022. Jim enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, golfing, and spending time with friends. Jim was a genuinely nice person whose company, smile, and laugh was sincerely enjoyed by so many friends and family.
Jim will be deeply missed by his daughter, Heidi Quinn; and siblings, Mary Ellen McGannon, John Quinn (Mary Stienessen), Catherine (Jim) O'Neill, Michael Quinn, Patrick (Jane) Quinn, Verna (Steve) McCabe, Susan (Jerry) Techam, Barbara (Tom) Rosc, Bob "Whimpy" (Bonnie) Quinn, Theresa (William) Hart, Thomas "Louie" Quinn Jr., Deborah (Dave) Murphy, and Sharon (Marty) Farrell, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Violet and Thomas Quinn; sister, Colleen Ruhland; and brothers-in-law, Donald McGannon and Darrell Ruhland.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, September 8, 2022, at St. Gabriel the Archangel Catholic Church - St. Joseph Campus (1310 Mainstreet, Hopkins) at 2 PM with visitation one hour prior to mass. A continued celebration of life will be held at Lone Lake Park (5624 Shady Oak Road, Minnetonka) at around 4 PM. Flowers may be sent to St. Gabriel the Archangel Catholic Church - St. Joseph Campus or memorials and donations to Heidi Quinn. Interment at St. Margaret Cemetery at a later date.

Jimmy was my brother-in-law and I am proud to say, good friend. My world is a sadder place without him. God rest his soul in heaven.

I have not encountered many folks in my time who were more respected by so many, who had as much integrity, who were more honest, laugh out loud funny, and simply a pleasure to be with than Jimmy.
The countless memories of him in corn fields chasing pheasants, the hours spent in fishing boats and fish houses, the many nights watching fights at Charlies over the years, attending so many concerts, listening to him tell his stories in the way only he could. Always, always that smile and his unique laugh he had that drew so many to him.
He had a way about him that made every single event you spent with him one you would enjoy more just by him being there. Every one...You were disappointed when he was not there. I can count on one hand how many folks I know I can say that about.
Simply a wonderful man to know
I cherish very much my luck to have called him my good friend.
God bless the soul of Jimmy Quinn.
I will miss my friend very much.
