Susan Margaret Quinn

November 30, 1958 – August 13, 2025

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Susan Margaret Quinn, who passed away on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at Nyack Hospital, surrounded by her children, mother, siblings, and uncle. In her final moments, her beloved uncle, Oliver, played Irish music for her over the phone, bringing comfort as she peacefully transitioned from this world.

Born in Leeds, England, on November 30, 1958, Susan moved to New York at the age of one with her parents. She was raised in Astoria, NY, where she attended Immaculate Conception and later Mater Christi High School. In her adult years, she lived in East Durham, NY, where she worked for GlaxoSmithKline before spending her remaining years in New City, NY, with her loving mother.

She had a deep love for Irish music and dance, which was a cornerstone of her heritage. An avid reader, she found peace in books and cherished the company of her large extended family. Her vibrant spirit shone brightly during family gatherings, especially when the family came together from near and far, from New York and beyond. Susan's favorite color was purple, and she had a soft spot for Tweety Bird.

She is survived by her loving children: son Steven and wife Bethi, grandchildren Alice and Steven; son Nicky and wife Abby; son Michael; and daughter Kelly. Susan is also survived by her mother, Patricia Quinn; her siblings Raymond Quinn and wife Marianne, Patricia McKenna and husband Michael, and Sharon Quinn. She leaves behind many cherished nieces, nephews, uncles, cousins, and friends, both in New York and across the states and abroad.

Susan is predeceased by her father, Eugene Quinn, and brother Eugene Quinn Jr.

The family invites all who knew her to come and celebrate the life of a wonderful mother, sister, and friend.
