James "Jim" W. Raden, Sr. passed away peacefully at home on September 25, 2025 at the age of 82. Born on March 24,1943 in Cleveland, OH, and predeceased by parents John and Anne (nee Lewicki) Radomski, and older brother, MSGT John David Radomski of Denver, CO. He is survived by loving wife and caregiver Barbara Raden, (nee Velardo), stepson Michael Sommerfeld, his wife Tamera and their two daughters (Kylee and Kynslee). Jim is also survived by younger brother Jeffrey and Karen (nee Jones) Radomski and family, as well as Jim's daughter Polly Raden, and son Jim Raden, Jr.

Jim graduated from Cleveland Benedictine High School, where he was a member of the golf team. Jim moved on to Ohio University, where he was also a member of the golf team and Beta Theta Pi Fraternity. He graduated with a degree in Mathematics. After obtaining a MBA from Case Western Reserve University, he began a career in marketing research in the tire industry, most notably at BFGoodrich.

In 1992, Jim started Raden Enterprises, a manufacturer's repping business connected to the golf industry. Raden Enterprises dovetailed with Jim's lifelong love for the game of golf. Throughout his life, Jim was involved with many organizations advocating amateur and pro golf development. A few include: the Akron District Golf Association (past President), the American Golf Classic and The World Series of Golf at Firestone CC in Akron, and First Tee of Greater Akron.

Above all, Jim will be remembered by family and friends for his quick wit and infectious smile. Per his request, no funeral or celebration of life service are planned. Memorials can be made in his honor to First Tee of Greater Akron at: https://firstteeakron.org/ways-to-give/online-giving-with-bloomerang/
