James Ramsey

Frederick James Ramsey departed this world on March 17, 2025, in Atessa, Italy. Jim was born in Shreveport, LA, on April 30, 1983, to Theresa and Peter Ramsey.
His formative years were spent on the family farm north of Shreveport before moving to Jonesboro, AR. He graduated from Jonesboro High School and went on to the University of Arkansas. It was here he decided to pursue his real calling and enrolled in AG Flight School, Bainbridge, GA. He excelled here and began a career in Crop Dusting, accumulating over 3500 hours. This lent itself to his love of anything fast, be it skateboarding, motorcycles, or airplanes. He had an exceptional ability to make friends, wherever it may have been, either here at home, in South Africa, or in other places he visited. He had a smile that would always light up a room and was known for his kindness and love of the underdog. As he said of his rescue dog, Buddy, "All God's creatures want to be loved in time of pain and abandonment."
Jim is survived by his parents, Theresa and Peter Ramsey; his brother, Dobson, and his wife, Julie; and children, Tripp and Josie. Extended family includes Reade Ramsey Linam, Johnson Ramsey and wife, Joann, and family, Katherine Gilhuly and husband, Doug Todd.
He is predeceased by his grandparents, Fred and Sue Gilhuly, Wm. S. Ramsey and Helen J. Ramsey, and his uncle, Steve Ramsey.
