James "Tony" Riels peacefully passed away in his sleep at his Mobile, AL home on November 12th, 2023. Born on December 17, 1949, in Mobile to Douglas and Eddie Mae Riels, and graduated from Auburn University. After finding success internationally in the non-woven industry, he settled in Asheville, NC with his family. In Asheville, he had a distinguished career in property development, leaving a lasting impact on the community. Known for his dedication to craftsmanship and the highest quality of homes. His influence and circle of friends extend from Mobile, AL, to Asheville, NC.
Tony is survived by a loving family; including a brother, two sons, five grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
