James Roberson Obituary
Born in Parmele, NC, he was the son of the late Nicholos and Blanche Roberson. He served in the Navy during the Korean War from 1950-54. He was a 1957 graduate of East Carolina University. Mr. Roberson had a lifelong career as a Fire Protection Engineer and retired from the Engineering Design Division of the Navy Public Works Center in Norfolk in 1997. After retirement, he enjoyed playing tennis and traveling in his RV for many years.
Survivors include his loving wife of 68 years, Annie Daniel Roberson; his son, Greg Roberson and wife Susan of Raleigh, NC; his daughter, Linda Roberson Eure of Mineral, VA; two granddaughters, Holly Israel and husband, Jesse of Raleigh, and Julie Roberson of Raleigh.
Preceded in death was his brother, John Roberson of Manteo, NC, his sister, Emily Fields of Wilmington, NC, and brother, Gordon Roberson of Chesapeake, VA.
A Memorial Service with Military Honors will be conducted at 3:00 pm, on Tuesday, January 6, 2025, in the Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery, Suffolk.
