James Richard Robertson, 95, passed away on Sat. July 29, 2023, at Merit Health Rankin Hospital in Brandon, MS. Visitation will be held on Wed. Aug. 2, 2023 from 9:30am-11am at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. Funeral Services are 11am on Wed. Aug. 2, 2023 at the Ott & Lee Funeral Home Chapel in Brandon, MS with burial to follow in the Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Pearl, MS.
Mr. Robertson was born in Union, MS on April 28, 1928, to the late Morris Turlley Robertson and Sarah Elizabeth Jones Robertson. He was a member of the South Side Assembly of God Church where he was active in Sunday School and the Senior Adult Ministry. Mr. Robertson also enjoyed gardening.
He is survived by his daughters, Linda Burroughs (Ralph), Elizabeth Ann Bilbro (Darvil) and Debbie Haskins (Mark); grandchildren, Ralph Burroughs III (Andree), Greg Bilbro (Angela), Paul Burroughs (Jenny), Justin Haskins and his great grandchildren, Lane Burroughs, Austin Bilbro and Karoline Burroughs. Mr. Robertson is also preceded in death by his wife, Sara Elizabeth Robertson; sisters, Freda Hudson, Marie Campbell and his brothers, Bill Robertson and Kenneth Robertson.
The family would like to give special thanks to the nurses and staff at Brandon Nursing and Rehab and to Phyllis Bilbro for their care and support.
