Mr. James "Buck" Robinson

James "Buck" Robinson, 84, widower of Nan Fox Robinson, passed away Saturday, December 16, 2023 in Lexington, KY. Born December 20, 1938 in Georgetown, KY he was the son of the late Stanley and Mary Elizabeth Pullen Robinson. Buck served his country proudly in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He was the owner of Robinson Masonry and a block mason. He was a faithful member of the Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church where he taught Sunday School youth classes for 25 years and Northside Baptist Church where he drove the church bus picking up children to go to church for 25+ years. Left to cherish his memory are his children, Shannon (Harvey) Turner, Mary Jefferson and Carolyn Robinson; four grandchildren; a great grandson and three sisters, Elizabeth Patterson, Nancy Plowman and Patsy Williams. Along with his wife he was preceded in death by a daughter, Debbie Robinson; four brothers, Benny Robinson, Stanley Robinson, Tommy Robinson and Johnny Robinson and sisters Linda Robinson and Brenda Nipper. Funeral services for Buck will be 11:30am Thursday, December 21, 2023 at Kerr Brothers-Harrodsburg Road. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Frankfort, KY. Visitation will be 9:30am till the time of the service on Thursday at the funeral home.
