James W. Rollins, 66, of Burlington, Iowa, died on Sunday, July 21, 2024, at his home.
Born on June 19, 1958, in Burlington, he was the son of William Rollins and Marian Remaly. On October 25, 1980, he married Tina Marie Peterson in Burlington.
James owned an operated Wrecker Express Towing, where he retired from after selling the business. Earlier in life you could find James working on cars in the garage, he loved doing bodywork. Any opportunity he was given to go camping he would go. He loved watching western television shows especially enjoyed Gun Smoke while drinking his Pepsi. He shared his birthday with his son in-law and every year they celebrated their birthdays and Father's Day with a huge family cookout. Most of all James loved spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife Tina; two children: Brandon (Pam) Rollins and Janelle (John) Lang all of Burlington; a niece who was like a daughter Taylor Peterson of Burlington; three grandchildren: Alyssa and Preston Lang and Madison Rollins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and two grandchildren: Alexander and Jacob Lang.
Per his wishes cremation has been accorded and entrusted to the care of Lunning Chapel.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
