James Walter Romedy Jr.

James Walter Romedy, Jr., 82, of Sugar Hill, passed away on November 29, 2023.
James was born on June 26, 1941 to James Romedy, Sr and Alice Romedy in Monroe, North Carolina. The statistic that the average adult has 3-6 careers in a lifetime was regularly a topic of discussion. James had pride of the vast variety of occupations through the years.
In 1974, James met Frances Elizabeth Brooks at their shared employment at JC Penny. The couple went on to raise two children. James was a valued member of the Free Masons and the Scottish Rite. He enjoyed a motorcycle, multiple boats, and a plane. He was an avid painter, historian, and lover of any mechanical manual he could find.
James was predeceased by his parents, James and Alice Romedy; his wife, Frances Romedy; and his siblings, Cornelia Pineda, Claudia Giusti, and Ralph Romedy. He is survived by his son, Johnny Clark; his daughter, Jennifer Willie; his son in law, Keith Willie; his granddaughter, Lauren Clark; and his great-granddaughter, Raelyn Velez.
