Randal “Popsy” Herring Romedy went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, February 24, 2025, in Mendenhall, MS. He was 73 years old. The family will receive friends and extended family for visitation from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. on Friday, February 28, 2025, at Chancellor Memorial Home in Florence, MS.
Randy was born on April 6, 1951, to Wallace K. Romedy and Ruth Griffin Romedy in Louisville, MS. He has lived in Mendenhall for the past 25 plus years and was a member of Church Alive in Magee. He loved attending his church and loved his church family. Randy enjoyed spending time in his cook shack and doing yardwork with Frances. But most of all he loved spending time with Tyler and his grandchildren. He will truly be missed.
Randal is preceded in death by his parents, Wallace and Ruth Romedy. He is survived by his wife, Frances Doughtery Romedy of Mendenhall; son, Tyler Romedy of Mendenhall: Step sons Joe Calhoun Jr. of Florence, and Wayne Grantham of Louisiana; grandchildren, Lexi (Jaired), Kaci (Jamaal), Shelby (Justin), Madison (Nicolas), and Chase; great grandchildren, Paisley, Maverick, Aspyn Kate, and Walker; sisters, Linda Romedy Propst of West Virginia, and Pat Romedy; and a large group of church family and friends.
