James Rose Obituary

James Allen Rose, age 81, passed away in Muskegon, MI, on Friday, September 27, 2024. He was born in Garden City, MI, on September 9, 1943, to Harold and Hazel (Emery) Rose. On January 24, 2003, he married the former Doris Stanton, and the two of them spent 20 wonderful years together until she preceded him in death in 2023. James was a longtime member of St. Thomas Catholic Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and classic cars.

James is survived by three brothers: Harold (Ruthann) Rose, Gary Rose, and Loren (Kathy) Rose; and one sister, Donna Ledger. He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Rose, and his parents.

A GRAVESIDE SERVICE will be held for James at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at Egelston Township Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association. Arrangements by The Sytsema Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 737 E. Apple Ave, Muskegon, MI, 49442.

I was lucky to work with Jimmy for many years unloading semis at Walmart, he made the job fun and much more bearable. Remember when he had his garage built, he had an electric outlet each four foot, smart! He will be missed.
