James Ross Obituary

Jim was a cherished member of his community and a dedicated family man. He served as the operations manager at K-Mart and was a faithful parishioner at Our Lady of Perpetual Help.
A veteran of the Vietnam War, Jim served his country with honor as a Sergeant in the Air Force, during the Tet Offensive from 1967-1968.
In his free time, he pursued a variety of hobbies, including fishing, boating, golfing, and painting, often in the company of loved ones. He was a devoted grandfather, always enthusiastically cheering on his grandchildren at their basketball and football games.
He is survived by his wife Viva Ross of Jeffersonville, IN; daughters Elizabeth Ross Webb (Steve) of Jeffersonville, Catherine Webb (Brent) of Jeffersonville, IN, and Sarah Bottorff (Bob) of Charlestown, IN; sons Andrew Ross of Charleston, SC, Adam Ross (Suzanne) of Jeffersonville, IN, and David Ross (Lee Ann) of Louisville, KY; grandchildren Garrett, Savannah, Ross, Luke, Matthew, Nathan, Cooper, Kayla, Henry and Cash; great-nephew Nathan Ross and nephew Larry Ross.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brother Thomas Ross; sisters Frances Richardson and Betty Ann Osborne.
A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church with burial to follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, from 4-8:00 p.m. at E.M. Coots' Sons Funeral Home.
