James W. Schulte, 78, husband of Donna Sue Schulte, sadly passed away on Thursday, May 30, 2024, in Lexington Kentucky. He was born in Covington, Kentucky to the late Albert C. and Edna Kathryn Schulte. He graduated from St. Henry's High School and attended Eastern State University. James made a living in the screen printing and embroidery business for over thirty years and was the owner of Sew Fast and Country Embroidery. He had a passion for horses and loved to race standardbreds with his wife and family. He enjoyed spending time at the Red Mile with his friends and family and in the summertime, Jim and his family often spent time at the lake on his pontoon, "Serene."
In addition to his wife of 53 years, James is survived by his 3 sons; Kevin Schulte, Jimmy (Jenny) Schulte, and Joe Hagans; 2 daughters, Melissa (Jimmy) Gayhart and Tonya Taylor; 5 grandchildren Austin Taylor, Makayla (Colton) Mott, Marcus (Lauren) Wells-Rody, Cody Gayhart, and Jacob Gayhart; 2 great-grandchildren, Kason Mott and Jace Wells; sister, Carol (Tom) Gagnon; and brother-in-law Tommy Marshall.
