James was born October 31, 1957, in White Pigeon, Michigan to the late John and Geraldine (Krentz) Sherwood. He had a love of sports, especially the Detroit Lions and Tigers, being in nature and his pets. James was avid about celebrating holidays especially Halloween as it was his birthday also.
Surviving are his two children, Alec Sherwood, Jamie Sherwood; two brothers, Michael (Sherry) Sherwood, Thomas Sherwood; friend and mother of his children, Missy Sherwood; and several nieces and nephews.
Cremation arrangements have been handled by the Bannan Funeral Home.
