James "Jay" R. Skidmore, 51, of Louisville, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 16, 2024.
Jay was born in Jacksonville, North Carolina to Nancy Junck Skidmore and the late James H. Skidmore. He graduated from Holy Cross High School in 1991 and was a retired truck driver.
He is preceded in death by his father; and ex-wife, Rose Skidmore.
Carrying on Jay's legacy are his mother, Nancy Junck Skidmore (George Busch); brother, Todd M. Skidmore (Cheri); step-children, Kristen Alfonso and Noah Anderson; and step-grandchild, Zander.
Funeral services for Jay will be private. A celebration of Jay's life will be at a later date. Ratterman & Sons Funeral Home are handling the arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Faith Lutheran Church, 7635 3rd Street Road Louisville, KY 40214.
