James Daniel Slaughter Iii

James Daniel Slaughter III January 10, 1973 - May 9, 2022
James Daniel Slaughter III, is the 4th of seven children born to Annie Billingsley and James D. Slaughter Jr. James was born in Freehold New Jersey on January 10, 1973.
After traveling to numerous locations with his job, he eventually settled in Virginia.
James graduated from Freehold Borough High School where he excelled in academics, music and multiple arts programs. James also attended Atlantic Cape College in Atlantic County.
He enjoyed singing, playing wind instruments, and performing in musicals. He loved tutoring kids online and donated his services for over 20 years to assist other students.
James worked for VM Com Source, a division of Comcast Cable from 2008-to 2011. During a period of time between 2011 to 2019, James was employed by R&R Solutions traveling all over the country doing IT for numerous corporations.
During his illness, Christina Murphy, who has been a long-time partner, mother of his child (Alyssa Murphy), and a friend, was his caregiver for the past two years.
James leaves to cherish his memory: his mother and father, his daughter Alyssa Murphy, his siblings: Le'Roy Billingsley, Vernita King (Timothy), Sabrina Slaughter, Priscilia Slaughter, Melissa Rennie (Timothy), and Daisy Billingsley; along with Kenny Brown, Keith Brown, and Nora Slaughter. He is predeceased by a cherished sister, Stacy Brown.
The viewing will be held at the Abundant Life Church, 632 Colts Neck Road, Freehold on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. to noon. Funeral services will be held at the church at noon followed by interment at Old Tennent Cemetery, Tennent.
