James Herbert Spade

SPADE, James Herbert – of Davison, age 73, died Thursday, January 29, 2026 at his residence. A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, February 5, 2026 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio, Michigan. Burial in The Preserve in Waterford, Michigan will be held Friday, February 6, 2026 at 11:00 AM. Memorial contributions can be made to the family for future designations.

James was born January 9, 1953 in Ventura, California to the late Helen Spade. He grew up in Caruthersville, Missouri and graduated from Caruthersville High School with the class of 1971. Prior to his retirement in 2006, James worked for GM on the line at Buick City with 30 years of service. James served as the Vassar Township Supervisor and was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #3224 in Caro, Michigan. James enjoyed shooting guns, hunting, fishing, and camping with family. He liked leather working, collecting rocks, and was a sci-fi and civil war enthusiast. James loved going up north and hanging with his friends Neil and Deb and the entire Benmark family. However, his greatest joy in life was his family, especially all of his grandchildren.

Surviving are: Children, Wade (Tiffany) Spade, Stacie (Jeff) Barbera; Grandchildren, Samantha (Michael) Miller, Charlotte (Donald) Wilson, Allie Spade, Austen Spade, Hannah (Eric) Talbert; Joseph Barbera, Jessa Spade, Jillian Spade; Great Grandchildren, Nova Wilson, Isabella Spade, Luna Wilson, Declan Wilson, Ryder Miller, Della Miller, Rowan Spade; Siblings, Barbara Spade, Linda King; Best Friends, Neil (Deb) Benmark; several nieces and nephews.
