James Warren "Jim" Stevens

James Warren Stevens, age 78 went to be with the Lord on July 4, 2022. James was born in Ridgeway, Ohio on April 5, 1944. He will be remembered for being such a loving husband, father, cousin and friend. James was a graduate of Eastmoor High School, Columbus, Ohio. He retired from Lucent Technologies after 35 years.
James spent his free time gardening. He spent numerous hours outside planting flowers, growing tomatoes and just enjoying the outdoor air. He was a car enthusiast and enjoyed his corvettes and his vintage camaro. He loved sports and spent countless hours traveling to watch his grandchildren play football, basketball and baseball. Jazz became his favorite type of music. His father was a jazz musician and he grew up listening to his dad play the saxophone. On top of all of that he was known as a handy man because he could fix anything.
James is survived by his loving wife of 50 years Dianna Stevens; his sons Gary (Juanita) Stevens and Shaun Ransom; his daughter Joy (Larry) Marshall; granddaughters Brittany, Egypt, Laila, LaShaun, Lilly, Maya, Sable; grandsons Aaron, DeShaun, Donte, Gary Jr., Liam, Milas (Octavia); great grandchildren Angel, Sanaa, Malan, Milas Jr., and a host of nieces,
nephews, cousins and friends.
