James Hugh Strutton

James Hugh Strutton, 88, of Greenville, husband to his devoted wife of 63 years, Claudia Lunsford Strutton, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, March 6, 2026.

Born in Greenville, SC, he was the son of the late Charles L. Strutton, Sr. and Nancy Hill Strutton.

Jim honorably served his country as a member of the United States Marine Corps Reserve and later in the United States Air Force. Jim loved his Lord and he loved his church. He was a devoted member of Bethel Baptist Church, having served there as a deacon and a Sunday School teacher. Jim retired after 47 years from Keys Printing Company. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed spending time with his family, and for everyone who knew, him he will be deeply missed.

He is survived by his son, James Todd Strutton (Kelly); daughter, Tina Strutton; grandchildren, Jamie Strutton (Jessica), Taylor Strutton (Sarah), and Sarah Sperry (Zachary); great grandchildren, Eva Broome, Delcie Strutton, and Deacon Strutton; and brother, Charles Strutton.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Frances Moore.

Visitation will be held on Monday, March 16, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. at Bethel Baptist Church followed by the funeral service at 12:00 p.m. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
